Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Purrfect surpurrise is a peculiar Prize dragon. While most are vain and always preening themselves to have perfectly shiny hides, Purrfect is fascinated by cats. He is always accompanied by at least one purring friend, and his cave is open to all cats. Purrfect's goal is to save all stray cats and offer them a nice cozy home where they are well treated. His scales may not be the shiniest since he has the occasional fur stuck in between them, but he does have a heart of gold that is worth more than any shiny hide.
