Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon... except for the tangle of dangerous-looking vines surrounding it...

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Like many vine dragons, Flytrappe was abandoned not long after she was hatched. Fortunately, Felixz welcomed the hatchling into her cave and Flytrappe now lives a happy life. She decided to remain as a hatchling so she wouldn't be seen as a threat by the existing female Vine Dragon, Flaagra. However, regardless of what the other dragons in the cave might think, Flytrappe can compete with others when it is required of her--she just prefers to avoid trouble.
