Nhiostrife Wyverns are one of the few known breeds of wyvern with more than one set of wings. Because of their four wings, Nhiostrifes are very nimble in the air and control their movements with ease. When it’s mating season, males put on a very beautiful and unique air dance in an attempt to charm a female. The amount of stripes on their wings vary, with more stripes being more attractive, although most have only two to four. Their general attitude is very passive and curious—they only fight if they or their families are in danger.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

At once both sly and playful, this female's been dreaming of starting a family for a long time, but she won't start one with just anyone! Wanting a male who compliments rather than overwhelms her, Kecherkan has startled more than one of her suitors by showing a decided lack of interest in them the minute they start dancing. Yet one wise, gentle, and very kind young male was able to discover her secret. Rather than beginning a dance on his own, he invited her to join him in one, the two swooping and falling together in an elaborate display of trust and grace. Needless to say, Kecherkan was quite moved by his actions, and the two have since gone on to become a highly devoted pair.
