Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aledor, a dragon neither important nor special in the world he lives in. Being a Nocturne dragon, he take refuge during the day in an old waterfall, tall, strong and rushing with water. Though, behind this water, is a long, wide, tall cave, that echoes with the soft droplets of water, hanging from the roof.

Aledor isn't especially tall, nor short, he isn't overly strong but he most certainly isn't weak. His wings surpass the average wing span for a dragon of his kind, enabling him to develop more muscle, and fly faster than most. His horns curl slightly at the tips, a deep shade of gray they compliment his deep blue skin, littered with thick scales. His talons are long, and curved, slightly blunt on the edges, yet the tips are needle sharp.

His tale is 14 meters long, the average for a dragon his size, and packed with muscle, enabling him to knock down objects, and steer himself accurately in the air.
