Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lavascale Earthshaker is one of the heaviest dragons in her clan due to the partially hardened lava that coats her body. She lives deep in the center of an active volcano, where no one but a Magma dragon could go. She has a very important job: keeping her home volcano from erupting, as it would flood all of Everyoung Valley with lava. She's really more of a loner, not unfriendly but not seeking out the company of others.
