Pillow Dragons are covered in enormous amounts of fur affectionately referred to as fluff. Despite their deceivingly large size, they can still fly even with such tiny wings because their bodies are remarkably light. Pillow Dragons have a habit of sleeping for up to eighteen hours a day, waking only in short bursts. During their few waking hours, they take the time to hunt for prey. Once a pillow dragon becomes an adult, its fur grows very slowly. Pillow dragon fur is used to make very expensive and valuable cloth known as “dragon cashmere.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fluffolufogus' fur may grow slow but it becomes unbearable in the warm weather months around his cave. Therefore every summer he is given a light trim. His fur is slowly being used to line the other dragons' nests and sold to people in the nearby village to make cashmere. When he's not up eating or helping out hunting (which is rare) he's seen being groomed or sleeping by the eggs keeping them warm. He has his own sleeping location but only uses it to store little treasures of his.

As more and more dragons come to the cave they are assigned jobs so the cave runs more smoothly. Fluffolufogus is an egg warmer and fur seller (only in the beginning of summer). Because it takes time to spin the fur into yarn or thread people buy it in order to have clothing made by winter.

He is mated to Dorsala and it is not uncommon to see her sleeping next to him as he warms the eggs.
