Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Granite-Pebble is a shy and quiet young hatchling. He often is found collecting pebbles that he finds unique and interesting and puts them in his small 'bed' of pebbles he sleeps on. Unfortunately for Granite his left wing was born black with odd white spots and paralyzed. Hatchling often tease him about it, but when he gets really sick of being teased he'll throw rocks and pebbles to keep them away.
