Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mnevtei used to be Jtufj's wingman for all of the ladies until Jtufj settled down with a Flamingo Wyvern called Nsicacb. Mnevtei was bored, as he was no longer getting any action from the ladies. He hooked up with Oxzos, a Magi dragon, and they produced a beautiful child—also a Magi. However, their relationship didn't last long, and the two quickly broke up. He's still on the prowl, looking for a dragoness with whom he can have a red-finned child, like his father whom he had met only once. He often felt that his father abandoned him because he was purple, not red. Mnevtei has only told Potato about his discovery, and he trusts her to this day with that information. Mnevtei is far too busy making the ladies swoon to have a role in this cave.
