Shallow Water Dragons are found in tropical regions where the water is warm. They use their magic to hunt, using bubbles to capture small fish and animals. Their large, webbed feet make them excellent swimmers and they are able to move at very high speeds. Due to their bright color, these dragons are easily spotted in the lagoons where they live.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Melody Sunwaters is arguably the beauty of the Coastal Realm.

Her soft blue eyes and glittering, golden scales have won the hearts of many suitors; none of which have successfully wooed her. She vowed to stay a maiden forever and never to marry.

Melody enjoys playing with her siblings and sunning herself in the Freshfalls Lagoon. She is particularly fond of young women and children, and it is said that if a brave child dares to approach her, she will allow the human to pet her beautiful scales. Although, she will never allow herself to be seen by a man or a human unpure of heart.

She is named after the Dragon Master Melody, and, like her father, King Aurthur, she will one day become ruler of the Coastal Realm. Her mother is Falippa the Skywing dragon.
