Perhaps among the most venerated of dragon breeds is the Zyumorph, a breed whose selfless heroism and strong moral compass are nearly unparalleled by other dragons. Zyumorphs have an innate urge to fend off wrongdoing, and as such, are often sought after in times of peril. Although they are independently quite capable fighters, it is said that their true might is not unlocked until all six Zyumorphs are brought together in times of great duress.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Teton was Tenderheart's final "lost" hatchling. She was unusually empathetic toward her nestmates. Teton spent a large amount of her childhood trying to keep her friends happy, and went to great extents, even potentially getting herself injured, to keep them safe.

After spending so much time raising these strange little dragons who claimed to be "missing pieces," Tenderheart couldn't have been more relieved when Teton offhandedly mentioned one day that all of her pieces were waiting for her.

In time, Teton matured and flew off to the mountain where she felt her magic calling out to her. There, she found five dragons waiting. These dragons had just woken from a slumber that had lasted years, commanded back to consciousness by the realization that their final piece was nearby.

With the uniting of the six great dragons, the magic that resided in each of their souls reacted to their close proximity, and called forth an even greater dragon—a sinomorph.
