Soulstone Dragons are deeply empathic creatures. The pearls which they carry with them from a very young age are deeply attuned to the emotions of those around them, glowing in accordance with the strength and sincerity of the bonds individuals share with one another. Soulstone dragons have the ability to show that, even in the heat of a vicious feud, the love that friends, family, and partners share for one another remains true and strong.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Flutter By was named for her whimsical fondness for butterflies and other pretty, colorful little things. She spends a lot of her time roaming the meadows and light forests in the greater Breedery-held territory in search of tiny, living treasures. Whenever she finds a creature she finds particularly irresistible, Flutter By casts a spell that creates a copy of the insect (or, sometimes, a flower or other plant) made of semiprecious and precious stones, like a little sculpture made with magic. Later, she adds the new creations to her hoard. Flutter By likes to carry her favorite creations with her; they hover in the air around her head or body, orbiting her like little planets. The speed at which her objects orbit her indicates her mood and its intensity. If they begin to spin very fast, and glow, watch out! She's angry, and about to use one of her few offensive spells. Flutter By is not an aggressive dragon, but she will lash out with surprising force to defend herself or her friends.
