Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tollary usually doesn't care about others' business, preferring to leave them alone to also be left on her own. It's not that she dislikes company, but one of the things she hates the most is other dragons poking their snouts in her business. That's the main reason she tries to stay away from everyone, although she sometimes seeks the company of other calm, female dragons. The problem was Banshuyou, who seemed to have made stalking her his hobby, and Tollary usually had to resort to sending another dragon to see if the coast was clear before exiting the cave. She did find his behavior amusing, but didn't want to give him hopes.

The day came when he asked her out, however, and she had to refuse. Luckily for her, Banshuyou wasn't sad for long; he became friends and eventually a couple with another dragon. Relieved to see her friend back to his normal self, Tollary is back to her calm life, although she sometimes wonders if she will ever find a dragon she likes.
