Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name means 'Desert Dasher'. Sabaku is often seen sprinting through the driest terrains chasing large land mammals. Other than flying, his wings also act like solar panels as they absorb heat to provide energy for hunting. Sabaku lives alone upon a rocky ledge, his cave the only place providing much needed shelter. Sabaku is naturally calm and mild and will only attack if threatened and he has even been known to aid those dying of heat and thirst.

Sabaku is a lot more laid back than other Whiptail dragons, yet he will not hesitate when challenged to a race.
