As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Duskilo is one of the elders of his tribe. He appeared one day crouched above one of the caves, looking rather like a bat. Despite being chased off several times and making a general nuisance of himself, he was eventually accepted as a member. Duskilo is mischievous and not very bright, and most of the dragons treat him like an annoying kid brother. The only dragon who took particular interest in him was a Day Glory Drake by the name of Luminuna, who eventually won his heart.
