Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Cute—and Fluffy is definitely cute, but not so fluffy. Spikes are not fluffy, but Cute's spikes are softer than those of the average black dragon hatchling. She considers herself to be soft and fluffy and is always trying to cozy up to smaller fluffy mammals, like chipmunks or squirrels. They, however, don't take to this well and depart at the earliest opportunity, leaving Cute to munch on the acorns they leave behind.
