Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Icaron, the second Ice dragon to arrive here, was just a hatchling when the rescue squad of the cave found him. He had been laying under a small bush chewing absentmindedly on an icicle hanging off his tail, muttering something that couldn't be heard. They decided to take him home and heal him and possibly return him to his family. When they asked Icaron about it, he replied about something fiery and really hot. The dragons decided Icaron needed a bit of healing after finding out what had really happened. Icaron had lost his clan to some Hellfire Wyverns. That was why he was trembling as he approached the King and Queen. Eventually, as Icaron grew from hatchling to adult, that fear and memory melted away until it was almost gone completely. Icaron will still have a few nightmares every once in a while, but other than that, he's living a pretty happy life.  Icaron brings in a pretty good haul of frozen food and is pretty friendly to the others.
