When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Behold, seeker of the dragon lore, Emesika of the Water dragons. As is common in her breed, she has lived in the same lake she was born in all her life. She can be often seen swimming there as she is not reclusive or shy, although she will not let any humans touch her and can even get quite fierce when they come too close to her eggs or hatchlings. For many seasons she was the mate of another Water dragon. Their offspring thus numerous and healthy. This has changed, though, when in one mating season a wandering male Magi dragon arrived at the lake. There was no fighting—Emesika just did not let her former mate come near her but began to breed with the Magi dragon. Although the egg looked different from the other eggs she had had before, Emesika began caring for it as usual, with the Magi dragon staying close to the nest.

But after no more than two mating seasons she returned to her former mate, Coral-Lyne, a Water dragon.
