Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s rather plain looking, though.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

From the moment Thaelus hatched there was something different about them. They resented the elder dragons for their responsibilities and need to better themselves at all times. Thaelus wanted more, better. Rather then age, Thaelus wanted contentment with themselves as was at that moment. They then sought humans in order to make this choice a reality. Now Thaelus lives happily, young and free.
