Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s kind of shaky on its feet and enjoys playing in puddles.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Nilofira means "lotus" and Kenisha means "water lily". Because she is still considered a hatchling, Nilofira Kenisha is often overlooked by the other dragons. For some unknown reason Nilofira Kenisha suddenly stopped growing both physically and mentally. She is forever stuck a hatchling. At first the adults felt sorry for her, but as Silver's cave of dragons grew, more hatchlings were hanging about. Nilofira Kenisha in her simple mind saw these hatchlings as playmates and friends. She more or less eventually became the cave's primary hatchling sitter. Because of this she has had a lasting effect on the hatchlings when they become adults and the other dragons that have not been under her care as a hatchling. Nilofira Kenisha was also the first to befriend the Nilia Pygmy, ShunnarZamir, because of her simple mindedness and childlike antics that intrigued the Nilia. Since then Nilorifa Kenisha and ShunnarZamir have been best friends and are rarely seen apart.
