Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The fact that Cass is Vaidra's daughter might be seen as sheer irony. When Vaidra was still young, her mother told her she should never keep a daughter. And she was right.

Cass has a very caustic persona, especially when it comes to her mother. She loves the joy of a hunt. This is not a hen impressed by chivalry. As a matter of fact, she would much prefer grappling with stud then goggling over the kill he made for her.

She will never know how much of a clone of Vaidra she really is; for becoming a mother changed her mom profoundly.

Cass is completely tone deaf; something which shocked her mother. The last time she tried carrying a tune, her voice shattered Don right out of his shell and about killed Shay's ears.

She did pick up her father's talents for poetry and drives her mom nuts by talking in Haiku all of the time. The coloration on her wings, also, is a much deeper green than on normal pinks.
