Falconiform Wyverns are normally shy creatures. However, when approached, they often feel threatened, and the flames along their bodies leap higher. Females tend to be smaller than males, though Falconiform Wyverns are typically rather large overall. They use their size to their advantage by hunting smaller dragons. The Falconiform’s graceful, swooping dives are said to resemble birds of prey. Falconiforms are largely solitary dragons that only meet in order to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

In the Vampire Clan, Toxic, the Alpha Vampire has decided to conduct an experiment using ten "regular" dragons and train them to act like Vampires. This way, the Vampire Leader's dark deeds can be accomplished by non-turned dragons, which will hopefully avoid suspicion from others. He has chosen ten different dragons, breeds that are preferably either large or bad-tempered, to experiment with.

Orobos is the shyest of his hatch-mates, something that the Vampires have attempted to beat out of him but just can't seem to. For now, they have let this be, because his loyalty to them and their cause is undoubtedly strong, and if he is too timid to run away.

Along with his loyalty, Orobos is treasured because of his size and strength. He and Kasdeyah rival in immensity though in terms of fighting, his frightening appearance is often enough to make his opponent back off in fear. He has also been known to attack when threatened, serving as a hefty opponent for the bully Guardian Dragon, Ramzen.
