When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Divesea is a female water dragon. She is a very vain and boastful creature. Her home is 'The Great Lake'. Many water dwelling creatures live in this huge lake but Divesea is the largest (and longest) of them all. Divesea is constantly reminding others of this fact. Most of the dragons ignore her, with the exception of her mate.

Divesea has few friends, as she considers herself to be above everyone else. However, she is friends with a male Lumina dragon called This Is The End and a female Swallowtail dragon named Sky-Wolf, who, unknown to Divesea, wants to try to put an end to Divesea's vanity. Divesea's mate is a magi dragon whose name is Sweet Sarajevo. Divesea often uses Sarajevo's love to her own advantage. As a result, she seldom has to lift a finger (or rather, a fin) to get something done.

Divesea was abandoned when she was an egg and refuses to speak of her family. She can be quite funny when she wants to be, but never tells jokes at anyone else's expense.
