Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The story of this noble dragon's life is long and rugged, and it began, some say, with the raid on his home. His once-peaceful life was shattered when bandits raided the human village he had long presided over, and he chased after them in fury; but he was no fighter, and was left broken and bleeding in a ditch for his troubles. It was then that a young girl found him, offering him a lily upon which an insect had alighted, which he had desperately been trying to reach so that he might feed and regain his strength. That kindness led to a grand friendship, but no sooner had the girl nursed him back to health than the bandits returned, and stole away the girl to whom his life belonged.

He set off in pursuit of them, to bring justice to his village and the one who had given him the lily. But the story of his quest is for another day, and so for now I shall only say that they got their happy ending in the end, and it was one well deserved.
