Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s small, but already likes to play-fight.

And look! It has grown spikes! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Sunosupotto loves his mountain home. He lives high up where everything is covered in white and the stone is always cold, even in the sun. Some of his markings help him blend in with his snowy home while others make him a bit easier to spot. No matter. This little hatchling still loves to play in the white powder whether he can be seen or not. The cold doesn't seem to bother him much, but he does like to find a patch of sun at the edge of the cave ever now and then just to bathe in the rays.

His name means 'snow spot'.
