Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It sleeps a lot, but when it’s awake, it’s quite a handful.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Gusudaun is so soft and fluffy. Every kid in the village near where she lives wants to pet her. She loves the attention, but she has to take a few days rest after a really long day in order to clean her fur. She really likes to take care of her precious fur.

Her name means goose down, which is what really soft pillows are made of.
