Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Deadly Hornet is KillerBee's adopted brother. He helps her and Sognitrico assassinate the undesired dragons from the area. When users "kill" their dragons, they actually subject the dragons to Sognitrico, KillerBee, and Deadly Hornet's skill, or to another group of assassins'. This group doesn't always assassinate every dragon that has been condemned. Otherwise, he is a very fiery dragon, but always helps his adoptive sister out.
