Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Joah is a calm and quiet dragon. A bit too quiet... Despite the fact that he and his mate have never actually done anything wrong, they unnerve the other dragons. They have to hunt alone, and the conversations of the other dragons turn to hushed whispers as they pass by. Nobody knows why this is. While L'erisia appears normal outside of her eerie vibe, Joah is even more unusual- sometimes, it seems as though the universe doesn't want him there, and he will briefly appear faded or otherwise distorted.
