Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Except for the occasional flicker of movement, it remains inanimate.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Lyric stumbled into an irate Magi dragon's workshop and messed up his experiments. He cursed her and turned her completely into stone. While most stone dragons have stone scales, Lyrics entire body was turned into rock. Luckily the spell wears off each night, but as soon as the sun comes up she turns into a statue. <br/>When the sun set the night that she was first cursed, Lyric found herself in a forest, far from where she had been cursed. The Magi had flown out and left her there. Lyric was unable to find her way back to her family, and wandered further and further away from her home. One night she woke up to find that she had been moved to the lair of a Magi dragon named Frajah. He had seen her and, realizing that she been cursed, had taken her back to his lair and tried to reverse the spell. Sadly it had been too long since Lyric had been cursed and the spell had mingled with her own magic and was impossible to reverse.
