Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This Nebula dragon studies his nebula so closely, feeling like it is the most interesting thing he has ever come to know. It gives him inspiration, and for some mysterious reason, advice too. Whenever he gazes up at his favorite universe, messages pop into his mind and the reason why is unknown. Feeling the need to write down what he hears,  he has learned the runic language. He carves runes of his wisdom onto the boulders that surround him with his claws. Anyone desperate enough for knowledge or help may wish upon a star for it. If this particular Nebula dragon finds out about their wish, (somehow he often does) he will fly over to the asker and carry him or her to where he lives. In lucky cases, the wisher will understand the language and their lives will be improved. Any wisher who doesn't understand may develop an interest in the runic language.
