Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Even since she was placed in the salty oceans, Sekirimae became an avid explorer of the vast depths that they offered. Day and night, the light from her fins is almost constantly in motion, as she seeks any treasures on the floors and in the caves of the murky waters that are now her home. From a locket that may have fallen overboard from a sailing vessel, to pirate caves filled with booty long forgotten, the hunt continues. She does not merely search for the sake of her hoard(although, that is a large part of the reason). She also hopes to discover a bit about the previous and current ocean travelers via examining their hidden troves. Although she might return one of the lesser-value trinkets to the shores during night hours(such as one of the previously mentioned lockets) while none are around, that is extremely rare. Usually the treasure she collects winds up in her cave far below the waves, which, thus far, has not been located(or at least reported).
