Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Elavat Juusto, sadly, has Paranoid Schizophrenia, making him extremely paranoid and always thinks he is being hunted down. Palaminen and other mean breeds call this "Switzocheddia". Valk's only explanation to this is that "He's got cheese brain." Poor Valk didn't realize that was understood as an insult and was also extremely obvious. But some think he's onto something; Cheese is a favorite food among humans. Maybe he sees himself as a prize to be painfully torn to slices and eaten, if cheese can feel pain, of course.
