Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

I Don't Wish Vainly is, simply put, an over-all lovely being.  Her greatest aspiration in life is to care for the older, ill and injured dragons in the clan, and often goes out of her way to help even those who live on the fringes of Preto Osso's territory.  Her mother-in-law, Silvercraft, absolutely adores Wish, and accompanies her whenever possible when she goes searching for those in need of cheering up.

When asked once what she wanted most in the world, she merely bowed her head humbly, replying 'I don't wish vainly'.  The phrase stuck with her and is now what she is known by; her original name is lost to all but herself and her mate, Shrill Jupiter.  She prefers her new name, however, and is always happy to introduce herself as such.
