Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has long toes, and likes to wander around on lily pads.

And look! Its toes have grown longer and developed webbing! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This dragon is a spunky little creature, fond more of treading the border of the ocean than idling about in quiet ponds and lakes. She loves to snatch fish from under the surface of the water, and will then plod back up to shore to eat them. Quite a party lover, she's always willing to trot around on the sand to be with her friends. However, she dislikes the feel of the sand, and accordingly wears flip-flops. This earned her her nickname, but stylish creature she is, she changed the s at the end of the name her to a z for the sake of all things 'cool.'
