Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It perfectly depicts spring weather.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Spring is Forever was frozen by the magi dragoness Crocoitia shortly after she first learned to fly.  Spring had landed next to a pond to get a drink of water and while she drank, the magi dragoness froze the beautiful hatchling.  Spring did not notice that she had been frozen until she flew back home and her parents scented the magic upon her.  Thankfully, Spring is as calm as a spring breeze so she was not bothered much by being frozen.  Instead of getting upset, she decided to make friends with the other frozen hatchlings, and visits them regularly.
