Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Light Of The Far West is a dragon from the western mountains. She was born from a clan who loved the bright stars and the icy mountain wind, but most of all, they favored the color blue. The tradition of their clan was to continue the midnight cyan spectrum in their heritage, in honor of their ancestors whom were an Ice and a Blue Nebula who fell in love, and wished for their love and color to last for many generations.

When Light Of The Far West hatched, all of the clan had expected great things from her, but when she colored, everyone only turned their backs and commanded her banishment from the clan. No red nebula could continue to reside in their clan of midnight cyan.

She was chased out of her home, away from the western mountains where she grew up. Feeling betrayed and lonely, she stumbled across a cave. She entered to find a human and many dragons. She expected them to chase her off her but they only welcome her with warmness, and that was where she finally felt at home.
