Electric Dragons wield electricity with great prowess. Bright sparks race across these dragons’ bodies in a dazzling dance of light, complemented by the blindingly radiant sparks on their tails. Using their bellies and manes as stores for this electrical energy, Electric Dragons wield crackling magic, stunning and electrocuting their prey with a whip of their tail. During mating season it is typically those with the most brilliant sparks—an indicator of strength and hunting ability—that are drawn to each other.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sillimantia ShockDancer (after the gemstone: Sillimanite) was the seventeenth clan dragon. From the moment The Clan Mother entered the clan cave with her egg, Sillmanterum was quite smitten, and more than just a little excited. Sillimantia spent most of her youth wrapped in his embrace, both physically and symbolically. It seems that from the moment she hatched, the two were destined to be together. The Clan Mother admits that while she had hoped that would eventually be the case, she did not plan it that way. Sillimantia is not quite as rambunctious as her soul mate, although she does have a flare for the dramatic and regularly teases him with an almost electrifying wit and charm. She is as radiant as a stormy sky, with a temper to match the thunderous heavens themselves when she feels her mate, or her clan, are in danger. Sillimantia takes great care, however, not to harm any around her, and impatiently waits for the moment that she and Sillmanterum will bear heirs of their own.
