Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hurt, with scratches and scrapes, he couldn't move or try and get out. The other hatchlings, Oliverstorm, Mountain Night and King of Autumn Sky, couldn't find where he was. They told Quail23, their human, anxiously. Surprised and shocked, she asked where they had last seen them. Oliverstorm reported she had heard a dragon screech, much like Sunshine Sliver, by the rocky caves. Sunshine Sliver had managed to crawl closer to the entrance, enough where a sliver of sunshine could reflect of his golden and purple scales. Quail23 saw the glint of her missing dragon's scales reflecting the light. Immediately, she reached down with her slender human hands and gently picked up and cradled the poor injured hatchling. All the other dragons crowed to see. Quail23 asked her White dragon, Snowy Surprise to help her. Quail23 named him after the sunshine
