Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
This breed of dragon was thought to exist only in legend. Although their name varies between cultures, they are often referred to as “Guardians of Nature.” They are able to channel the forces of fire, ice and lightning, which allows them to wield tremendous power. Seen very rarely, it is thought that they only become active when something is threatening the territory they have chosen to guard. In order to protect their chosen home, these dragons are incredibly adaptable; they have been seen everywhere from remote mountain ranges, to ancient forests, to the darkest depths of the ocean.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Many eons ago, when the planet was still young, creatures called dinosaurs populated the planet. Over time dragons began to make their mark and often clashed with their scaly cousins. There were many battles and many deaths. It was said that the skies became angry and thus sent an Asteroid to wipe the planet clean and start anew. The dragons and dinosaurs began to panic and blamed each other. No one was willing to work together. Then, when the end was near a mother dinosaur brought her only surviving egg to a trio of dragons. They used their powers to summon something more powerful than anything either of their kind had seen; a Guardian of Nature. She was full grown and with a beat of her mighty wings, flew up and used her powerful blast beam to destroy the calamity. The power of her attack sent glowing embers into the sky which we call stars to this very day. The dinosaurs and dragons rejoiced and made peace, living in harmony thanks to the efforts of one who is both and yet neither.
