Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Insisting that her real name is Isfuhfor, the dragon known as Runma is never one to be crossed. Although many of her clanmates think her real name is really the silliest and aren't afraid to giggle about it behind her back, those who are unfortunate enough to be within earshot of her quickly find out the repercussions for mocking her unusual wishes. Within hours, rumors will circulate around her clan's territory about the real names of those offending dragons, which in the past have included "Yornyorn", "Goreschnii", and most hilariously, "Barbuncklesnout XVII". Obviously such rumors are ultimately the doing of Runma, whose knack at strange names apparently is not reserved only for herself.
