Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hisaya is a morning dragon, always being the first to wake up as soon as the sun rises. However, the first thing she does is yell at the others to wake up, jumping on the stomach of those who ignore her. Then, her morning exercise consists of evading said angry dragons' attacks. She even has fun doing it, saying they all need the exercise, and she believes it's fun to anger Ryoujin Jakka if he doesn't make the trees catch fire. On the afternoon, she helps with the hatchlings, and although she behaves like one herself, at least she knows how to NOT lose them. She's also the first one to go to sleep, going into the furthest place of the cave to sleep like a log. Of course, until morning comes again.
