Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Taluna was always friendly and helpful towards humans and dragons alike. So when she saw a purple dragon hurt in front of the lake she lived in, she didn't hesitate to jump out of the water to help him. She told him exactly where to find the white dragons so he could be healed. It had been a short meeting and she'd gone back to the lake happy to have helped. The next day Akuroku came back to thank her for the help, and he would visit every day after that. Taluna found herself looking forward to each time he'd come over to swim with her. With out realizing it they soon became inseparable and he would sleep at night near the lake to see her each morning. Taluna was both shocked and thrilled when he asked her to be his mate and she gleefully agreed. They have remained true to each other, having children and spending each day together in blissful joy.
