Antarean Dragons are peaceful creatures shrouded in mystery. They are primarily found in the desert where they get most of their energy from sunbathing. Their most notable traits are their highly reflective manes and the mysterious light emitted by their scales which fades from bright, nearly blinding yellow-white into dim red as the dragons get older. Legend claims that they are otherworldly beings that came to this world when a meteor struck.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ioleo is a friendly young Antarean. He has just one problem—he fell helplessly for Tucky, a Caligene dragoness. He loves her dearly and wants to spend every waking moment at her side despite her (many) character flaws. Yet Tucky treats him as a nuisance that only disturbs her everyday life.

When she complains about going hungry for missing yet another prey because of him, he quickly brings her the most tasty hare or deer he can find. When she complains about his shiny scales, he rolls in mud to dull their shine. He is even willing to overlook the couple of human and Mint skulls that decorate her lair—everything to somehow make this work.
