Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

It was a rainy day when xStarletx's friend Tamara showed up with a strange egg. She had the floating egg under a sodden umbrella, and had no idea what to do with it. At that point Tamara could not afford nor convince her family that having a dragon would be a good idea. So she went to xStarletx, whom she knew lived in the forest with her dragons and would be happy to take this fledgling in. When the dragon hatched she was named Tamara'sDream in honor of the one who found her. Tamara'sDream is in charge of naptime at the Hatchery, she has no problem getting the little ones to sleep when the other Hatchery dragons need a rest. On the rare occasion that a hatchling or egg stealer manages to get to the nest, Tamara'sDream uses her daydreams to keep the thieves busy in their own thoughts until a Guardian dragon comes to remove them.
