Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. He is named after the Japanese word for the Fairy Pitta, a beautiful little bird that happens to be native to the valley in which Yairochou lives. He is a son of Norio and Eri and was raised alongside his siblings Daitenshi and Mitsukai. He is a rather small dragon, even for a Striped dragon. However he is very active and full of life. He is always running, flying, hunting, always doing something. His favorite food is the Green Beetle, and he's absolutely nuts about them. He loves the crunch, followed by the flavorful inside. He is a handsome little dragon, with a bright forest green hide, covered with golden spirals. He also has beautiful amber eyes that his mate, Tasukaru, could look into forever. They met when Yairochou was hunting, got distracted, and accidentally ran into her. He was shocked, when instead of demanding an apology, the little female instead told him he could make it up to him on a date, and that's how it began. They love each other so much, and they always will.
