Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

With many dragons of different climate affinities, the Lair of Everspring is spread out across the land. To ensure all dragons are safe and able to return to the main cave, Magi dragons enchanted Sentry and his 'siblings' to be able to communicate with each other across miles of land.

Sentry follows the desert dwellers, his silvery scales repelling heat of the midday sun. He often has hatchlings or small breeds pressed against him to get the reflected rays. He isn't the only fighter, as all the others are up to snuff, it's just easier when one is always on the lookout.
