Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Gaia, as the oldest Elemental of his cave, has the deepest understanding of the Gone. She does not believe that the Gone retreated out of fear—no, she finds that, as memories of the ancient dragons return to her, that they were merely waiting. They are opportunistic creatures, wise and indecipherable in their ways. When the original Guardian was slain, they retreated for the sake of the rest of dragonkind—so that the human's hunt for Elementals would not lead to the massacre of innocent dragons.
Though this plot was not wholly successful, it prevented the death of many more. Gaia has little to say one the subject—though she offered thus when the interviewer clawed his way up to Lightning Peak.
"The Gone have been dead for centuries long past. They have left eggs of storm, fire, ice. All to return the Dragon era—the peace that ruled before Man arrived, with their hate. We are to bring back peace through genocide. A cruel irony, I believe."
And she said no more.
