Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

TsunamiPrince is a Tsunami Wyvern hatchling who loves big waves. He's still too small to create a tsunami with a flap of his wings, but he's always asking his parents to do it for him. His father is usually too scared to do it and his mother doesn't like doing things for other dragons, so TsunamiPrince must make his own waves. The little tidal waves he makes can barely drown a human, so he can't wait until he's grown up and big enough to destroy human villages with huge waves with a single wing clap.
