Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Impression Sunrise was not this dragon's birth name. Her egg was laid in a faraway cave but was sent flying by one of her mother's powerful spells. As her shiny egg flew through the brightening sky, it left a dash of color trailing behind it in the clouds, inspiring one mortal man to paint the scene down. Years later, this dragon was attending an art exhibit when she noticed the painting and immediately identified her own egg in the now famous painting. Amused, she renamed herself and took up a new hobby: that of sitting on the valley's scenic lookout point at dawn and watching the colors flare in the sky as the day awakened. Who knows—maybe one of those 'colors' is a dragon too!
