Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Neomortia is the second vampire infected egg to be found in this section of the cave. After Cordmoria grew up, she began her never ending cycle of the drinking of blood of unborn dragons. This was partially as revenge for those who buried for her so long, but partially because she needed their blood for food. Unfortunately, Neomortia was one of these eggs.

As the vampire disease ran throughout Neomortia's yet unhatched body, numerous mutations took place as well. The biggest one was not the fact that the fetus that would become Neomortia was becoming a vampire, but the fact that, due to Cordmoria's influence, the fetus would grow up female inside of male. Now fully grown, Neomortia is also seeking revenge: she wants justice done on Cordmoria for turning her female, as well as revenge on all the dragons who sat by and did nothing while all this happened.
