Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

WaterWalkerWonder is a Waterwalker Dragon hatchling with a small magical talent, he is able to breathe underwater. This helps him to catch his favorite food: frogs. He eats a lot of tadpoles, and young frogs, but he doesn't eat big frogs because they don't fit down his throat whole. Also, big frogs are clever and fast. Some frogs are even bigger than WaterWalkerWonder is.
